Surina Narula is a philanthropist, businesswoman, and film producer with a passion for promoting literature and the arts.
She studied Economics at Delhi University and obtained a Masters in Social Anthropology from University College London. Narula has completed several formal and informal courses in art and scriptwriting. Surina is also an advocate for the environment and has founded the Global Sustainability Film Awards, administered by TVE, a non-governmental organization that produces films on the environment. In addition to her involvement in film, Surina is the founder of Difficult Dialogues, a platform for discussing issues related to South Asia, and the co-founder of the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature. She has also been a key sponsor of the Jaipur Literature Festival, one of the largest literary festivals in the world.She is also a Co founder of the Consortium for street children which is a Global alliance who exists to be the global voice of street children and was founded in 1993. In recognition of her contributions to the promotion of literature and philanthropy, Surina Narula was given the Asian of the Year Award in 2005. Surina was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2008 New Year Honours. Surina Narula is a well-known advocate for women’s and children’s rights, and has been invited to speak at various forums, including the United Nations and the COP26, COP27. In addition, she has conducted numerous media interviews and has written articles for magazines and newspapers on a range of social and environmental issues.Steven Bernstein is a versatile talent in the film industry, celebrated for his remarkable contributions as a writer, director, and cinematographer.
With a career spanning over three decades, Bernstein has lent his expertise to numerous successful Hollywood productions. His accomplishments include writing and directing the critically acclaimed film “Decoding Annie Parker” and serving as a cinematographer on notable films such as “Monster” and “Like Water for Chocolate”
Ashish Shah is an award-winning documentary film writer, director, and producer from India. He has directed several award-winning documentaries and wildlife films.
Fascinated with the process of making films, he completed his Master’s in Visual Effects from the prestigious NCCA (National Centre for Computer Animation) at Bournemouth University in the UK. He worked for several visual effects companies, such as Axis Animations, Jellyfish Pictures, Prime Focus Films, and Base Black, on various commercials, movies, and TV shows.
The industry quickly recognised his quick, adaptive, and innovative approach. The Foundry invited him to deliver lectures at the Visual Effects Society in London and train visual effects artists. He has trained artists in various studios, including R&H, MPC, and DreamWorks, to name a few.
This was just the beginning; since then, he has focused primarily on wildlife documentaries. Currently, he is in the process of writing his first feature film, which is set to go into production in September 2023.
Karma Wangdi is an experienced Producer with a demonstrated history of working in the broadcast media industry.
Currently is the Head of Operations for Television for the Environment, an organisation which has commissioned and produced over 11,000 films in the past 39 years since its inception.
